Tradition of forging and manufacturing a metal in a little town in central Bosnia called Kresevo is very old. There are traces that people from this place were forging many different tools for agriculture and mining since the time of Romans. Selling of tools took place even in Dubrovnik, Venice, Rome and Istanbul.History has registered famous caravans with 300-400 horses loaded with products from Bosnia, which could travel to Dubrovnik in just one day. Basis for forging were very rich domestic resources such as shaft, charcoal for heat energy, water-power of the rivers and creeks. Nearly every house had a blacksmiths workshop, and this handcraft was the only source of income in this mountainous and poor place.Historical movement had influenced on a growth and decay of this trade. So, in time when small craftsman couldnt exist, it was formed an association of blacksmiths in Kresevo, which worked very good and very long. Like a logical development resumption of this trade, in year 1908 it was formed forge named "CELIK", which united all craftsmen and their handcraft in one place. After more changes of juridical and ownership forms, factory has become private in year 2002, and started with manufacture which was stopped because of the war in this area. Today, factory is having a form of limited liability company Ltd, in short "CELIK" d. O. O.Production program of this factory is composed from:- All sorts of forging products to the maximum weight to 6 KG. In this production program we produce: Hand-forged tools (hammers, axes, pick axes and so on, as a continuation of a long tradition and quality production of hand-tools for this part of Europe);- Forging products for metallurgy, for a car industry, tractor industry, railway transport, ship-building, mining industry and other demands;- Forging products for wide usage: Parts for forged fences, special sorts of products artistically forged.
